Tonight I watched The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. It is so lovely, so beautiful and so heartbreaking. Now I'm off to practice my French at Live Mocha, that is if I can stop crying!
via orangebeautiful Today I was really missing Domino and then, lo and behold, I came home and found this post about the new Uppercase magazine, that looks charming and fabulous ... I can't wait to get my hands on a copy!
greenandspring.com I am really into pretty packaging. I think these are fantastic, although my friend Kelly is afraid of birds, so she probably wouldn't agree.
via two little indians I love these photos and I love rainy days, which is good since it has rained just about every day this month with no end in sight! Perhaps today I will buy a new umbrella, but only if I can find a pretty one that makes me feel somewhat glamorous, even if slightly damp.
via presentpast's photostream on flickr I might be crazy, but on Wednesday I am starting ballet classes! I am really excited about it, but slightly cringing at the idea of hopping around in front of a wall sized mirror. I am trying to remember as much as possible from my last ballet class, which took place in 1993. But all I can recall is how much I liked my blue chiffon skirt!
via stitched cards How darling are these cards? I LOVE sewing on paper, this valentines day i made cards that I sewed with little hearts and paper birds. Of course, being totally lame, I failed to photograph them, but one happens to be on a darling co-dc dweller's shelf and I will have to remember to post it sometime!
via absolutely beautiful things via wide open spaces My 100th post! I don't have anything special planned for it, but I thought this Tiffany's ad was lovely, and so true. Click on it if it's hard to read!
"There's no excuse for being ugly" Growing up in the South, I often heard these words, around here "ugly" means acting bratty or being unkind. As I grew older (and hopefully better behaved!) I adapted it as a catchphrase for searching for all things lovely, rather than mass produced. The world is full of beauty, there is no excuse for ugly!
I am a graphic designer, artist, collector, dreamer. I love interesting things and interesting people. When I was 6 my grandmother gave me a pink sparkly toothbrush. I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever. I still love pink. And sparkles.
